Good for the buck. With patches (particular guitar sounds and the instructions on how to make them) being shared via internet, it's hard not to be satisfied. Drum machine gives you a few choices and lets you adjust tempo. I was disappointed that you could only record 5 seconds of playing....if I want to record a loop so as to have it being played constantly in the background, why limit it to 5 seconds or less? It makes no sense. If you can overlook that, I think you'll have fun with the product as a whole. Sturdy design, very functional...it even makes coffee.
It is a vast improvement over the G1 model, which I still have. I needed a wahwah and thought about getting a dedicated pedal for that but I love the convenience of a multi-effect. I now have 2 wah models, and though not as good as dedicated pedals, they are very useful anyway. Plus I have a wide range of effects plus amp models in there as well.
The edit & share software you can download for free from Zoom's website is extremely handy when creating new patches, even though using the pedal itself is already far better than earlier models thanks to the various knobs and buttons now included. Naming your paches makes it easier as well to remember which one is what, rather than having a letter+number combo only. One can download patches made by others, but so far I have only used the Vai patches of the Zoom website, 4 of which I find very usefull. I love the reverse delay that is available in this model!

It is so elegantly simple even a gearslutz monkey could operate it. Nuff said. I love it! And am getting another one or two to incorporate into my live rig. I am totally enamored with this little sumbich! Kudos Zoom!
The best pedal I've had. You can tweak any sound imaginable. It simulates mic'ed cabinet sounds VERY realistically and much more.
The possibilites and quality of sound are amazing. I've been frustrated with so many pedals that I still have, but now the ZOOM G2 simply trashed them all. Yes, it is very easy to manage it's controls. Huge user memory and factory presets. You can check samples on youtube. I HIGHLY recommend it.
