The remains of the late retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Abraham F. Sarmiento, Sr. will be flown back to the country via EK 332 of the United Arab Emirates Airline at the Pair-Pags Center, Ninoy Aquino International Airport in ParaƱaque City at 4:35 in the afternoon today. The wake will be at the Sarmientos’ residence in Quezon City. Interment will be on October 12, 2010 at Mt. Carmel in New, Manila, Q.C. Justice Sarmiento died last October 3 reportedly due to organ failure in Prague, Czech Republic, where he was visiting his daughter, Philippine Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Regina Irene P. Sarmiento. He would have turned 89 years old tomorrow, October 8. He was the incumbent president of the Association of Retired Justices of the Supreme Court of the Philippines and regent of the University of the Philippines (U.P.) at the time of his death. |
