Courtroom Security Training for Judges



Courtroom Security Training for Judges. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Magtanggol B. Gatdula delivers the opening message to the participants of the three-day Courtroom Security Training for Judges Seminar at the Imperial Palace Suites, Quezon City on October 11, 2010.

Twenty-six selected judges from the second-level and first-level courts will be oriented on threats assessment, crime prevention, facts regarding firearms, and personal security measures, among others, for them to develop a clear understanding of the basic precepts of safety and security precautions.
The training-seminar is a joint project of the Supreme Court-Committee on Security, the PHILJA, and the Office of the Court Administrator, in coordination with the NBI and in partnership with EPJUST.
The training-seminar will also give the participant judges tips on crime prevention, document and communication security, basics on counter surveillance, and end with a firearm orientation, marksmanship and technical proficiency training.
The training is the first program on courtroom security conducted this year. The PHILJA will be conducting the 10th Personal Security Training for Regions I, II, and III judges in Laoag on November 23-25, 2010.
