D minor Pentatonic Lick

Hey all pentatonic lovers out there. Today I'm going to share a hybrid picking pentatonic lick with you. Most of you players out there are probably familiar with the minor pentatonic scale, so I won't get into any details about it.

This lick might be a little different though, than the ones you are used to. I hope it will give you some new ideas to play pentatonic scales.

The lick is mainly a 3 notes per string lick, with some added hybrid picking. Hybrid picking is when you incorporate you picking hands fingers along with your pick. In other words, some notes are played using your guitar pick, and the others will be plucked with your fingers.

Look carefully at the transcription to see how I execute the notes.

m = picking hand's middle finger
r = picking hand's ring finger
t = tap the note with any of the fingers on your picking hand.
The time signature is ¾ and the lick is in the key of D-minor. The sadest of all keys I've been told. So let's bring some pentatonic light to this key.

Good luck, and thanks to Paul and the Next Step for having me on their site.
